Swap-Free vs Islamic Accounts: Fees and Sharia Evidence
A claim about overnight interest is not a complete assessment of Sharia compliance.

Check the whole product
Inspect the instrument and contractual structure, ownership or delivery arrangements, leverage, financing and fees. A swap-free switch answers only part of that question. This site does not make a halal or haram determination.
Ask for documented review
Request a dated certificate, the reviewing board or qualified scholar, the named legal entity, covered accounts and instruments, and the certificate’s current scope. If none was checked, display “not verified”, not “not certified”.
Compare a holding schedule
Record grace days, calendar versus trading days, retrospective charging, exclusions, long and short positions, triple rollover and conditions that remove swap-free status. Use the calculator to understand a hypothetical schedule, then substitute verified terms.
Ask who reviewed the product, the date, the named company, covered account types and instruments, and the conditions or exclusions. A logo without a retrievable certificate is insufficient for a verified claim in our database.
Check the product structure
Qualified review may need to consider ownership, delivery, leverage, financing and contractual arrangements. A swap-free fee setting answers only one part of those questions.
How this site reports uncertainty
We use “certificate not verified” when none has been checked. That does not mean no certificate exists or that the product is impermissible. We do not issue religious rulings and do not infer certification from a broker’s account name.
