For a 100,000 EUR standard lot, one EUR/USD pip represents USD 10. An advertised minimum spread is not a typical spread or a measured spread during your trading session. Separate these measures before calculating costs.

Request the same account, platform, trade size and observation period from each firm. Add both sides of commission, financing, conversion and execution effects. Our calculator models an input scenario; incomplete records cannot establish the cheapest broker.
For the standard 100,000-EUR EUR/USD contract, 0.1 lots has a USD 1 pip value. With a 0.8-pip spread, the spread component is USD 0.80. Add both sides of commission and any minimum charge separately.
A 0.1-lot round trip with USD 3.50 commission per lot per side adds USD 0.70, giving USD 1.50 before financing and slippage. This hypothetical calculation makes spread-only and commission accounts comparable without treating a minimum advertised spread as a measured average.
