Charged nights are not always the same as calendar nights.

Read the symbol specification
Find the rollover cut-off and time zone, long and short rates, multipliers and treatment of holidays. A common triple-charge convention must not be assumed for every instrument or broker.
Translate the time carefully
Dubai stays at UTC+4, while some overseas time zones change seasonally. A broker’s server time may differ from London or New York. Use the actual server rule for a position crossing the cut-off.
Model the charged units
The cost calculator accepts settlement-weighted nights. Enter three only when the applicable schedule charges three financing units; do not count both the multiplier and the same weekend again. Save the schedule used because rates and holiday adjustments can change.
A broker’s financing schedule may weight some rollover dates differently because of settlement and holidays. Obtain the schedule for the actual instrument and both trade directions. A weekday label alone does not tell you the charge.
Illustrative schedule only: Monday has weight 1, Tuesday 1, Wednesday 3 and Thursday 1. Holding across all four stated rollovers gives six charged nights. At USD 2 per lot per charged night and 0.1 lots, financing is USD 1.20. This is not a claim that every broker or instrument charges triple rollover on Wednesday.
