AED cost and account-checking illustration
1. Fund a USD account
2. Model the trading costs
3. Convert and withdraw

What this result means

This is a USD-account, unchanged-market illustration: gross trading profit or loss is assumed to be zero before the entered costs. It is not a return forecast, a margin check, or proof an account can support these trades. Actual losses can be much larger. It does not model an AED-denominated account directly.

Reproduce the calculation

  1. USD funded = (starting AED − deposit fee) ÷ all-in funding quote.
  2. Trading cost in USD = lots × round trips × (10 × spread pips + charged nights × holding rate) + 2 × round trips × max(lots × commission, minimum commission).
  3. AED returned = (USD funded − trading cost − withdrawal fee) × all-in return quote − receiving fee.
  4. Cost difference = starting AED − AED returned.

FX differences use the same reference for attribution. Negative costs can represent holding credits or a favourable quote relative to that reference; they are not a forecast of trading profit.

Check the limits before substituting a broker

Use all-in FX quotes; do not add a second percentage markup. Add method-specific fixed fees only once. EUR/USD assumes 100,000 EUR per standard lot and USD 10 per pip per lot. Commission includes the entered minimum per order per side. Each round trip assumes one opening and one closing order of equal size; split orders, small-lot rounding, slippage, account fees and eligibility are not modelled. Withholding or blocked withdrawals are not represented. UNKNOWN broker terms are never loaded as zero.

Why the minimum matters

For a hypothetical USD 15 per-lot-per-side rate and USD 1.50 per-order minimum, a 0.01-lot round trip incurs USD 3 commission, not USD 0.30. At one lot it incurs USD 30. The minimum applies separately to each order. Read the published example and its account limitations →

Worked hypothetical example

AED 1,000 less AED 25, converted at 3.709225, funds about USD 262.86. Ten 0.1-lot round trips at 1.2 pips and USD 3.50 per side cost USD 19 before financing. Deduct USD 5 to withdraw, then convert at 3.65: approximately AED 871.83 returns, a difference of AED 128.17. No receiving fee or financing is included in this example.
