Trace the payment stage before deciding what went wrong.
General informationSources and dates included
Locate the stage
Ask whether the request is pending broker review, approved, sent to a payment provider or already credited to an intermediary. Request the applicable tracking reference through official support.
Check method-specific conditions
Original-payment refunds, bank beneficiary matching, identity updates and currency holidays may affect processing. Compare the elapsed period with the exact method’s published estimate, not a generic “instant” deposit claim.
Escalate with records
Keep a dated timeline and redacted evidence. Use the firm’s complaints procedure and identify the regulator of the contracting entity if escalation is appropriate. A delay alone does not prove fraud, and recovery promises deserve careful checking.
Record request received → review completed → payment dispatched → beneficiary credited. Put the broker’s stated time estimate beside the stage it actually describes. Use the method-specific calendar, including relevant non-working days, instead of a generic deposit-speed claim.
Example: a broker marks a request processed on Tuesday but supplies no payment reference. You can establish a status message, not bank dispatch or arrival. Ask for the dispatch date, currency, beneficiary and tracking reference through official support. If records conflict, preserve both versions and use the firm’s complaints process. A delay alone is not a finding of fraud.
