What to compare
A raw-spread account commonly adds commission while a Standard account may include a spread markup. Check per-side versus round-trip quoting, minimum commissions and currency conversion. A zero minimum spread does not mean every trade has zero spread.
Limits of the published information
Compare a realistic number of trades and holding nights. A broker can be cheaper in a short intraday example and more expensive after financing or fixed funding charges. Our table preserves unknowns and distinguishes published minimum from typical prices.
A hypothetical USD 3.50-per-side commission is USD 7 round trip per standard EUR/USD lot. Dividing by USD 10 per pip gives 0.7 pips. A 0.2-pip raw spread plus that commission is therefore 0.9 pips before financing.
That account costs less than a 1.2-pip spread-only scenario on these inputs. A per-order minimum, wider actual spread or financing charge can reverse the comparison. Use the same trade size and observation window; a headline starting at zero is not enough to establish a cheapest broker.
